The butterfly is the soul after its transformation: lightness, beauty and rebirth. It has passed through the darkness of the cocoon. In a dream it often marks the end of a hard phase and the beginning of a new life.
When the dream feels light
A butterfly landing on you speaks of joy, a happy change and a soul at peace.
When the dream feels dark
A butterfly trapped or dying may mean a beautiful but fragile hope, or a change you are afraid to complete.
Ask yourself
What in me is ready to come out of the cocoon?

The card of this dream
Judgement. The call to rise, an awakening and a reckoning with the past. Judgement shows an angel blowing a trumpet while the dead rise from their graves with open arms. It is awakening, calling and renewal: a moment of truth, reckoning with the past, and an answer to an inner calling.
