The rose is the flower of love and of the mystery of the heart: beauty with thorns. In mystical traditions it is also the unfolding soul and secret knowledge.
When the dream feels light
A red rose given or received promises love; a white one, a pure and spiritual feeling.
When the dream feels dark
Thorns that prick or a withered rose point to a love that hurts, jealousy or a feeling that has faded.
Ask yourself
What does my heart love, and what are the thorns?

The card of this dream
The Lovers. A union, and a choice made with the whole heart. The Lovers stand naked beneath an angel, the tree of knowledge behind the woman and the tree of life behind the man. This is love, union and, above all, choice: a choice of the heart that reveals what you truly value.
