The lion is the royal heart: courage, pride, authority and the solar fire of the self. In dreams it often shows your own power, or a powerful person in your life. It asks to be honoured, not caged.
When the dream feels light
A calm or noble lion speaks of courage, leadership and a strength you can trust.
When the dream feels dark
An attacking lion may mean anger out of control, a dominating person or a pride that is hurt.
Ask yourself
Where must I show my courage, and where does pride rule me?

The card of this dream
Strength. The gentle strength that tames the beast without breaking it. Strength shows a woman gently closing the jaws of a lion, the sign of infinity above her head. It is the strength of the heart, not of force: patience, compassion and courage that tame the wild, both outside and within.
