Stairs lead between levels: going up is progress, ambition and spiritual elevation; going down is descent into the unconscious, into memory or into the body.
When the dream feels light
Climbing easily promises progress, success and growing consciousness.
When the dream feels dark
Endless stairs, broken steps or falling point to effort without results or fear of failure.
Ask yourself
Am I going up or down, and why?

The card of this dream
The Hermit. A lantern carried alone into the dark, wisdom found in solitude. The Hermit stands alone on a snowy peak, holding up a lantern in which a star shines. He is solitude, introspection and wisdom found within: withdraw from noise, seek the truth, become your own light.
