♐︎Sagittarius

The Sun in Sagittarius

The Sun is the lasting self, what you are slowly becoming. What Alan Leo wrote of it:

The archer who aims high. Hopeful, frank, generous and intuitive, you look forward, love freedom and order alike, and often sense where things are going. You do one thing at a time and see it through. Under restraint you turn restless and blunt, and words can wound more than you meant.

The colours of this sign: freedom, faith and a thirst for distant horizons.

Mode

Mutable

Ruler

Jupiter

The mutable mode leads: you are made to adapt, to change shape, and to carry things from one season to the next.

The dates are approximate: the Sun enters each sign at a slightly different hour every year, so people born on the first or last day should check their chart.

In love

In love, Sagittarius needs freedom, adventure and a partner who shares its ideals; honesty above all.

At work

At work, Sagittarius thrives in teaching, travel, law, publishing and anything that widens horizons.

Counsel

Keep your promises as faithfully as you chase your dreams.

The Moon in Sagittarius

The Moon is the inner child: moods, habits and what you need to feel at home.

Restless, active and good-humoured, you love movement, sport and travel. You are sincere in your beliefs, even unorthodox ones, with strong intuition, vivid dreams and a natural gift for teaching. Leo notes a tendency to change home or work more than once.

The Ascendant in Sagittarius

The Ascendant, the sign rising in the east at your birth, is the door through which you meet the world.

Open-minded, honest, sympathetic and generous, impressionable and in love with freedom. Your fortunes swing between extremes. Undeveloped, this rising sign is careless and rebellious; awakened, Leo says, it is philosophical, intuitive and a lover of law and order.
