♉︎Taurus

The Sun in Taurus

The Sun is the lasting self, what you are slowly becoming. What Alan Leo wrote of it:

The builder. Practical, patient and persistent, with a strong will and deep reserves of vitality. You hold on to what has proved itself and have a natural sense for money and material things. The shadow is obstinacy: steadiness that will not move even when it should.

The colours of this sign: patience, sensuality and a need for what is solid.

Venus

The fixed mode leads: you are made to hold, to keep and to finish. Your strength is loyalty, your danger stubbornness.

The dates are approximate: the Sun enters each sign at a slightly different hour every year, so people born on the first or last day should check their chart.

In love

In love, Taurus is loyal, sensual and slow to commit; it loves through touch, food and constancy, and fears change.

At work

At work, Taurus is patient, practical and good with money and material things; it builds steadily and dislikes being rushed.

Counsel

Hold on to what is good, but let go of what has stopped growing.

The Moon in Taurus

The Moon is the inner child: moods, habits and what you need to feel at home.

Your everyday nature is calm, steady and unhurried. You hold to your aims, keep to what is established and resist change from outside. Leo saw this Moon as sociable and good-natured, fond of music and art, and favourable for friendships, money, houses and land.

The Ascendant in Taurus

The Ascendant, the sign rising in the east at your birth, is the door through which you meet the world.

Steady, reserved and self-willed. Your path unfolds slowly because you never move in a hurry; you are practical, persistent and decisive once your mind is made up, with strong likes and dislikes and a quiet ambition. Leo notes a physical magnetism and a love of ease, and warns against obstinacy.

The planets in Taurus

Mercury · You think slowly and surely. Once an idea has taken root in you, nothing can move it; your words are few, practical and worth waiting for.

Venus · You love with the senses: touch, taste, beauty, comfort. You are faithful, patient and sensual, and you need a love you can hold in your hands.

Mars · Your drive is slow to start and impossible to stop. You work steadily, defend what is yours stubbornly, and your anger, once roused, is formidable.

Jupiter · Your luck comes through patience, the senses and the material world. You grow by building, saving and enjoying what is real.

Saturn · Your lesson is security and worth. You may fear never having enough; you learn that true safety is built slowly and lives inside you.
