♏︎Scorpio

The Sun in Scorpio

The Sun is the lasting self, what you are slowly becoming. What Alan Leo wrote of it:

The sign of extremes. Determined, secretive and keen in judgement, you feel intensely and rarely do anything by halves. Leo credits this sign with a magnetic, healing power and links it with regeneration: what falls in your life tends to be remade, not abandoned.

The colours of this sign: intensity, secrecy and a will that never lets go.

Correspondences

Dates

October 23 – November 21

Element

Water

Mode

Fixed

Ruler

Mars (traditional), Pluto (modern)

The fixed mode leads: you are made to hold, to keep and to finish. Your strength is loyalty, your danger stubbornness.

The dates are approximate: the Sun enters each sign at a slightly different hour every year, so people born on the first or last day should check their chart.

In love

In love, Scorpio is intense, passionate and loyal to the end; it wants total trust and does not forgive betrayal easily.

At work

At work, Scorpio excels in research, psychology, finance, medicine and crisis; it sees what is hidden and does not give up.

Counsel

Release what you hold in the dark; transformation needs forgiveness.

The Moon in Scorpio

The Moon is the inner child: moods, habits and what you need to feel at home.

Firm, self-reliant and plain-spoken, you can stand alone and work hard. You resist change pushed on you from outside, yet can drive great changes yourself, and your feelings run deep. Leo links this Moon with the occult, with strong attraction, and with tension in close relationships.

The Ascendant in Scorpio

The Ascendant, the sign rising in the east at your birth, is the door through which you meet the world.

Reserved, shrewd, secretive and proud. Leo describes this rising sign as one of extremes, producing both the weakest and the strongest characters; at its best it is penetrating, self-controlled, mystical and dignified. Much depends on the rest of the chart and on mastery of the senses.
