What the numbers say
What the old book says (L. Dow Balliett, The Philosophy of Numbers, 1908): Law and love. 9 holds three times the strength of 3, makes its own law and is meant to work for humanity as a whole; love comes to it as easily as breath. Balliett names its pitfall as excess and its task as moderation, and sees in it the judge, the physician and the artist.
Where the idea comes from
The idea of “angel numbers” is recent. It was popularised around the year 2000 by the American writer Doreen Virtue, and the classical books of numerology do not contain it.
