Dow Balliett, The Philosophy of Numbers, 1908): The first of Balliett's free numbers, a broad, strong vibration felt by the whole community. 8 is meant to earn for others as well as itself, to build, heal and provide, giving before it is asked and without expecting thanks. Lived selfishly, she says, it brings a constant fear of poverty.
Where the idea comes from
The idea of “angel numbers” is recent. It was popularised around the year 2000 by the American writer Doreen Virtue, and the classical books of numerology do not contain it.
